It wasn’t the usual Celtics win. That’s why they seemed to value it so much.

“I think it’s good to get teams that are going to play us in different ways,” said Brown. “(During the game) they took away the 3-point line. Next game other teams might go zone to try to slow you down. Other teams might switch everything. As a student of the game, you embrace the challenge. As you get older you start to think about the game and see how different coaches like to implement their game plan. Tonight it took us a little bit to figure it out.

“I feel like we still got some open looks but that’s a part of the journey, being able to read, recognize how teams are guarding you, where the advantages are on the floor and regardless of how you feel about anything you’ve just got to let the game kind of decide where the ball is going to go. Let the game decide where the advantages are, and play through that. And I think we kind of figured that out second quarter on. The first half we sucked, but that’s a part of it.”
